Sausage curry

This is an experiment i did today since i was too lazy to run to the supermarket and buy groceries for dinner. Well it came out pretty well so here goes..
All you need are :
  1. some chicken sausages
  2. an onion
  3. potato
  4. some more veggies..i used peas and corn.
Firstly, chop up the chicken sausages and marinate them in chilly powder, turmeric powder and some salt.

Then boil water. And into it add some corn. When the corn turns golden yellow put in the peas and potato. When they are all partially cooked, turn off the heat and strain the water.

Heat some oil in a pan and saute onions and green chillies. Then add chopped sausages. Fry them till they puff up and get browned. Then add in the semi boiled veggies. Let them all fry a little. Then add chicken masala and some more salt and chilly powder if required. Add a little water to prevent it from sticking to the pan. Then turn off the heat and serve hot with soft chapatis.

Vacation @ Marekattu

Finally after 5 months, Unni and I went to Ezhupunna for a short vacation.Blore was getting terribly hot and we were eager to see some rain. However, Kerala has become so horribly hot that Blore is heaven compared to it. Rain too decided to elude us during our short visit in spite of our pleas.

We passed our time talking and watching movies and drinking lots of water. We saw Neelathamara. The scenery and all in the movie is very green and lively just like my vivid memories of my Grandma's house where i used to spend my summer vacations.I liked the movie for it made me reminisce Cherpu and Ammuma's pashu kutti and all. I totally loved the accent in the movie.
However, the story feels incomplete and ends rather abruptly. We also saw Passenger, Pattanathil Bootham. Both are good time pass movies.

Time flew and in spite of the blistering heat we didn't realize how fast the days went by. Before we knew it, it was already time to go.When we were all packed and ready to go, it started raining heavily with thunder and lightning.
Well at least our vacation had a good ending unlike neelathamara. So with a heavy heart and lots of mangoes and unniappams we came back to Bangalore.
