Remya alias Meenukutty decided to tie the knot with her Thoma saar on June 26th.I set off a few days prior to the date to thrissur to meet mom and get my attire and jewellery ready for Remya's special day.With everything packed and ready I set off to ernakulam in a fast passenger bus from thrissur.Vidya said she would pick me up and we could go together to pala for the wedding the next day.I was thrilled, its been ages since I met Vidya, Remya and my classmates.
When I reached Vidya's place the news channel and my mom were competing to inform me about the hot news -"there is gonna be a hartal the next day".Vidya , Hariettan , me and mom kept debating the best possible ways to go to the wedding inspite of the hartal.Then Eldo too joined in the debate and finally we ended up not going.I sent my cosmic wishes to the bride to be.
Meanwhile since it was a hartal and all I couldn't go back to thrissur either so I decided to spend some quality time with my best buddy,Vidya talking about old times and visiting all the hot spots in Ernakulam.We went to a new restaurant called Chak De.
The food and ambience was good and kudos to them, for the first time in my life I relished Fish tikka.Wish Mom had their recipe, it would have spared her so much trouble to coax me to eat fish.We went to Oberon Mall and did some shopping , eating and book surfing in a bookstore.
Finally when the mall started closing up for the day we decided to go home.We met Eldo and gang too heading out of the mall and invited them over to Vidya's place.We had a fun get-together there with Eldo's usual jokes.Laughed a lot.
At night we decided to try on some hair thingies.Vidya said it would curl our hair.We couldn't figure out how to get it on our hair in the first place.Hariettan too tried but in vain.Finally using slides and magic we stuck it on.There wasn't any visible change in our hair, but atleast we tried something new na.
All in all it was an awesome weekend but my only regret was that I didn't get to see Remya in her angelic gown.
